Apple price increase is now affecting several of the company’s most recognized devices as growing demand for memory and storage components reshapes the electronics market.
Apple announced immediate price adjustments across selected product lines. The company linked the move to rising component costs driven by expanding artificial intelligence infrastructure worldwide.
The changes affect multiple consumer products sold through Apple’s official online store.
Apple’s entry-level MacBook Neo now costs $699. The device previously sold for $599. The standard iPad also received a $100 increase and now starts at $449 instead of $349.
The iPad Mini also moved higher in price. Customers will now pay $599 after another $100 adjustment.
Additional products received increases as well. Apple TV now costs $199 compared with its previous $129 price. The Apple Vision Pro headset increased by $200 and now sells for $3,699.
The HomePod speaker also moved upward. Its new price reached $349 from the earlier $299 level.
Although Apple updated pricing on its own website Thursday, some third-party retailers continued displaying older prices for a limited period.
According to Apple, the rapid expansion of AI data centers has created unusually high demand for memory and storage components. The company stated that component costs have increased faster than previously experienced.
An Apple spokesperson explained that the company delayed passing costs to consumers for as long as possible. However, continued pressure made adjustments necessary.
Last week, Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook signaled that higher pricing would arrive soon. He described memory shortages and cost growth as factors that could no longer be absorbed internally.
Cook also noted that Apple attempted to reduce the impact on customers while managing supplier increases.
The broader technology sector continues facing similar challenges. Increased construction of AI infrastructure has boosted demand for advanced memory chips and strengthened financial performance for chip manufacturers.
Even with its large scale and established supply chain, Apple has not escaped these market conditions.
Despite the latest Apple price increase, several products remain unchanged. iPhone and AirPods pricing continues at existing levels.
Industry observers will now watch whether additional consumer electronics brands adopt similar pricing strategies in coming months.
