Chinese AI firm DeepSeek has announced a major DeepSeek V4-Pro price cut, reducing costs by seventy-five percent. The company confirmed the change in an official statement released on Saturday. This move permanently lowers pricing for its flagship V4-Pro artificial intelligence model.
The DeepSeek V4-Pro price cut brings API costs down significantly across all usage levels. Prices now range between 0.025 and 6 yuan per million tokens. Earlier, users were charged between 0.1 and 24 yuan per million tokens. A token represents a unit of text processed by the AI system.
The DeepSeek V4-Pro price cut comes as the company scales its infrastructure. DeepSeek did not confirm whether Huawei’s Ascend 950 chips influenced the decision. However, these chips are used to improve model performance and efficiency.
